The media that we offer in the EPE 1.0145M5E is Sintered Stainless Steel and is ideal for hydraulic applications where fire resistant fluids are utilized, including EHC for power generation, Skydrol, jack-up/lift-up systems for turbine start up, governor control circuit for turbine speed and primary metal applications. EHC systems commonly use phosphate ester which can develop high TAN (total acid number) when exposed to water. The acid attacks the binding agent in Microgalss media. The result is lower efficiency and media migration, or fiber shedding, where the filter is generating contamination. Sintered steel filter media utilize sintered stainless steel fibers which are impervious to the acidic compounds that form in EHC systems. |

Ethylene propylene O-rings, commonly called EPR or EPDM, offer outstanding resistance to polar solvents such as acetone, alcohols, and MEK. EPR is incompatible with petroleum oils and greases.
