Filter Media

The media that we offer in the Fleetguard HF7799 is the type of filter media you need if you are concerned about damage to your machinery that contaminated hydraulic fluids can cause. Even if you aren’t concerned, at Hydrafil we are, and that is why we manufacture over 75% of our hydraulic filters with Microglass. The density and uniform shape of the inorganic fibers found in Microglass offer tremendous filtration efficiency over traditional cellulose filters. In fact, with microglass you will be able filter up to 400 times more particulate than with paper filter elements.

Filter Seal

Viton is the most dependable type of seal that is currently used on hydraulic filters. The characteristics that make Viton such an excellent choice are its resistance to extreme temperatures, its low compression set and its compatibility with a very broad range of fluids. In fact, Viton o-rings will maintain their sealing force even after long periods of compression and exposure to severe environments, and this is what will help you reduce costs through fewer periods of unscheduled downtime.

Viton o-rings are recommended for:

Petroleum oils
Di-ester base lubricants (MIL-L-7808, MIL-L-6085)
Silicate ester base lubricants (MLO 8200, MLO 8515, OS-45)
Silicone fluids and greases
Halogenated hydrocarbons (carbon tetrachloride, trichloroethylene)
Selected phosphate ester fluids
Acids
Operating temperature -20°f to 250°f
