Filter Media

The media that we offer in the Stauff RS370B40E is Stainless Steel Wire Mesh and offers excellent resistance to temperature and corrosive fluids. This type of media is used extensively throughout the chemical, food and beverage, mining, and pharmaceutical industries. With its square aperture, high-flow through rate and relative open area, Stainless Steel Wire Mesh filters experience relatively low pressure drops during filtration.

Filter Seal

Ethylene propylene O-rings, commonly called EPR or EPDM, offer outstanding resistance to polar solvents such as acetone, alcohols, and MEK. EPR is incompatible with petroleum oils and greases.

EPR O-rings are recommended for:

Skydrol
Hot water and steam
Glycol based brake fluid
Many organic and inorganic acids
Polar solvents
