Filter Media

The media that we offer in the Stauff Suction Strainer – TFS-100-0 is Stainless Steel Wire Mesh and offers excellent resistance to temperature and corrosive fluids. This type of media is used extensively throughout the chemical, food and beverage, mining, and pharmaceutical industries. With its square aperture, high-flow through rate and relative open area, Stainless Steel Wire Mesh filters experience relatively low pressure drops during filtration.

Filter Seal

National Pipe Thread Tapered Thread (NPT) is a U.S. standard for tapered threads used to join pipes and fittings. The taper on NPT threads allows them to form a seal when torqued as the flanks of the threads compress against each other, as opposed to parallel/straight thread fittings or compression fittings in which the threads merely hold the pieces together and do not provide the seal.
